The 2023 Pickleball Tournament will be a round robin event open to all skill levels; beginner, intermediate or advanced.
2023 UNITED WAY PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
The 2023 Pickleball Tournament will be a round robin event open to all skill levels. Playtime is approximate. Pool play assignments and brackets will be announced on or before Wednesday, November 8 and are based on the number of teams registered. This event is sponsored by Mercury Marine and Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe. Proceeds benefit United Way of Payne County.
November 10 - Beginner Session #1 (7:30 AM) & Beginner Session #2 (9:30 AM)
November 17 - Intermediate (7:30 AM) & Advanced (9:30 AM) Brackets
Registration Deadline: November 1 NOTE: Sessions limited to 9 teams, so register early!
Location: Stillwater Armory, 315 E 9th Ave, Stillwater, OK
Cost: $50 / team
Skill level based upon the USAPA Skill Level Assessment. Please determine your team's skill level based on the rating of the highest level player.
Tournament Format and Information
2 Rounds of Play. Both Round Robin. All teams guaranteed four 1 set matches to 11.
1 Match played to 11. First team to 11 is winner [not win by 2 due to time constraints]
1 st Round = 3 Teams assigned to each court. 9 Total Teams per Wave
1. 1 st place team advances to 2 nd round Gold Court
2. 2 nd place team advances to 2 nd round Silver Court
3. 3 rd place team advances to 2 nd round Bronze Court
2 nd Round = 3 Teams assigned to Gold, Silver & Bronze court
1. 1 st place Gold court wins Team Gold medals
2. 1 st place Silver court wins Team Silver medals
3. 1 st place Bronze court wins Team Bronze medals
In the event of a tie…
1. First tie-breaker: head-to-head results among tied teams
2. Second tie-breaker: Point differential of all games
3. Third tie-breaker: Head-to-head point differential
4. Fourth tie-breaker: Point differential against the next highest player/team
