FIBER IS COMING TO CUSHING AS PART OF
$35.8 MILLION FIBER NETWORK GRANT
CUSHING, OK – Centranet and the Sac and Fox Nation are bringing gigabit fiber internet to Cushing. Funded by a National Telecommunications and Information Administration grant under the Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program, Centranet is building a full fiber network throughout all tribal lands including the community of Cushing.
“We are excited to bring fiber internet to Cushing,” said Mark Prather, President of Fiber and Technology, Centranet. “Centranet serves much of Sac and Fox Nation’s tribal lands, and this grant will allow us to expand into areas like Cushing where gigabit fiber service is lacking.”

Construction has begun on the fiber network and the first zones are expected to open for sign ups in 3-4 months. Residents who are interested in the service are encouraged to visit CentranetFiber.com/Cushing to sign up for updates.
The Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program is a $3 billion program directed to tribal governments to be used for broadband deployment on tribal lands, as well as for telehealth, distance learning, broadband affordability, and digital inclusion.
