About

Welcome to Lions Meadows of Hope

Our greatest wish is to give siblings in foster care a loving family and a safe home. As a certified foster care agency, we place Oklahoma Department of Human Services foster children in homes in Stillwater, Perkins, Cushing, Yale, Ripley and other surrounding areas in Payne County. In addition, we place children and teens on our 160-acre foster care community campus. There are five homes on campus that were built specifically to provide a safe and loving home for a minimum of four foster children, with the primary goal of keeping brothers and sisters together. We also help people become certified foster parents and support them on their foster care journey. We are committed to preventing placement disruptions by providing the support necessary for the foster parents to continue to say yes to foster care.

FOSTERING A COMMUNITY OF HOPE

Mission Statement

At Lions Meadows of Hope, we unite brothers and sisters in foster care, surround them with a community of hope, and help them grow into caring and productive adults.

Our History

With its beginnings in 1938 as the IOA Youth Ranch, the Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch has a long history and tradition of turning young lives around.

The 160 acres that make up the Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch was given for its present purpose by the descendants of Mr. and Mrs. George Washington Main, who held it from the opening in 1891. A son, Francis Main, is said to have received inspiration for the project in remedial family living from hearing Cal Farley of Amarillo talk about his project. Francis and his sister, Mrs. Lois Main Donnelley, remembered hearing their parents express a wish to be of help to children.  They felt that in donating land for the youth ranch they were following that parental desire.

Our past experience has brought us to where we are today and allows us to move forward with great success.  To understand some of our history, we’ve created a video that we’d like you to see. Please click the Youtube video on this page!
