Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our hotel team. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas while providing support to the housekeeping department as needed.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well independently and as part of a team, and understands that cleanliness and consistency are essential to the guest experience.

This position may also assist with laundry and other housekeeping department responsibilities based on hotel needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms according to hotel and brand standards.
• Make beds, change linens, dust, vacuum, mop, clean bathrooms, and restock guest supplies.
• Inspect rooms to ensure they are clean, properly stocked, and ready for guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, public areas, and other assigned areas.
• Collect and properly handle dirty linens and towels.
• Assist with laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, sorting, and stocking linens and towels.
• Maintain an organized and clean housekeeping and laundry work area.
• Notify management or maintenance of room damage, maintenance concerns, or items needing attention.
• Follow proper procedures for cleaning chemicals, equipment, and workplace safety.
• Assist with housekeeping projects, deep cleaning, and other departmental tasks as assigned.
• Work efficiently to complete assigned rooms and department responsibilities within expected timeframes.
• Follow all hotel, company, and brand standards and procedures.
• Protect guest privacy and hotel property.
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests and coworkers.
• Maintain dependable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, laundry, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Must be dependable and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work at a steady pace and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Hospitality experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift.
• Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts and laundry equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry linens, towels, cleaning supplies, and other items as required.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and laundry tasks throughout the shift.

Schedule

Schedule and hours will vary based on hotel occupancy and operational needs. Flexibility to assist with both housekeeping and laundry responsibilities is preferred.
