We are thrilled to announce our 2026 Summer Reading Program theme: “Unearth A Story”! All ages 2 to Adult. Earn Library Dollars! Turn in Reading Logs for Entry into the GRAND PRIZE. Come to the FREE SWIM PARTY for Summer Reading Participants and their families!

We invite you to dig into the aspects of dinosaurs, paleontology, and archaeology offering rich opportunities to spark curiosity, imagination, and learning across all age groups. Whether readers are digging into a good book, uncovering hidden histories, or exploring the past, "Unearth A Story" underscores the joy of discovery that reading brings. It also emphasizes that every person and every community has stories waiting to be found and shared—through books, programs, and local knowledge. Summer Reading Program runs through the month of June. Last day to sign up is June 21st.

LEGO CLUB. Tuesday, June 2nd from 5pm to 6:30pm. Come and go. Ages 5-18 come build with our Legos at the Cushing Public Library.

Storytime with Dinosaurs! Wednesday, June 3rd at 10:30AM. Ages 2-5. Stomping, Roaring and Reading. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Slightly older siblings welcome to attend.

DINO BINGO! Saturday, June 6th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Come and Go. Fun for ALL ages. FREE

Toddler Music Time with Dinosaurs and Miss Regina. Monday, June 8 at 10:30AM. Ages 2-5. Fun music making through rhythm, dance and singing. Caregivers must accompany child. Slightly older siblings are welcome.

Dinosaur Roll-A-Story Writing Camp. Tuesday, June 9, 2:00pm-4:00pm. Ages 8-12.

Be inspired and learn how to quickly write your own dinosaur tale. Use dice and story prompts to help you start on your writing adventure with your prehistoric creature. All supplies provided. Snacks included. Upon completion of the camp, participants will take home their packet with the tools to encourage them to write more dinosaur tales.

DINORAMA Craft. Thursday, June 11, 5:00pm-6:30pm. Ages 12-18.

It’s time to bring the Mesozoic era back to life! Join us for an exclusive, workshop where you’ll build your own Jurassic World dinosaur diorama. All supplies provided.

Explore dinosaurs through the manga Dinosaur Sanctuary by Itaru Kinoshita! Join us for a book-club-style group discussion and a step-by-step dinosaur drawing session. Registered participants can pick up a FREE copy of Volume 1 at the library, starting June 15, to read before the event.
