Monica started her career as a restaurant manager for Taco Bell. Thirty years later she was the first woman to become COO for KFC United States. During her career, she was rejected for more roles than she landed. Eight times denied for the bigger roles but she found ways to turn her rejections into triumphs. Join Monica for this eye-opening session where she will share tips and lessons from her recently released book ‘Lessons From the Drive-Thru’.   Monica Rothgery started her career as a restaurant general manager for Taco Bell, a division of Yum! Brands. Thirty years later she was the first woman Chief Operations Officer for KFC in the United States. She was also the first LGBTQ person to be promoted to a C-level role in Yum! Brands, owner of Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut. Monica retired from Yum! Brands in 2022 and is publishing her first book “Lessons from the Drive-Thru: Real Life Wisdom for Frontline Leaders.” In addition to writing, Monica spends her time helping emerging leaders discover what is theirs to do, a mantra that changes lives and careers.
