CTSA Head Start/Early Bird Head Start is funded by the American Indian/Alaska Native program Branch (AIAN) of the Administration of Children, Youth and Families (ACYF), the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and office of Head Start.  

All centers are participants in the Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and USDA commodities program for nutritious meal services. Other programs include a Johnson O’Malley (JOM) program for American Indian children enrolled in Head Start. Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) program which provides child care assistance to eligible American Indian families in our service area and the CTSA Early Childhood Development Center in Shawnee, this is our extended day program. CTSA Early Childhood Development Center in Shawnee is located at 1535 N. McKinley Ave. Shawnee, OK. 74801. Office hours are Monday Through Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM.

It is the program’s mission to provide the foundation for the development of self-sufficient, healthy, caring, and productive children and families.
