Open Position:
Administrative Assistant/Billing Coordinator
The Cushing Chamber is seeking a dynamic, Administrative Assistant/Billing Coordinator who thrives on delivering exceptional customer service, enjoys creative work, and wants to play a key role in a vibrant community. As the first point of contact for our members and the public, this position creates a welcoming, professional experience while supporting daily operations.
This role offers opportunities to contribute creatively by developing media graphics and digital content, and just bringing great ideas to the table that promote Chamber programs and Chamber member partner businesses; staff lead of our youth leadership committee; keep the Chamber's Financial accounts in order; and many other different opportunities to learn new skills to help the Chamber and our member partners grow.
Ideal candidates are organized, personable, and creative, with a passion for serving others and contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced environment. No two days are the same; there is always something different that needs to be done. There is a lot of "desk time", creating items for the chamber and for our members; but there are also a lot of events, programs, etc. that we host; making everyday different than the last.
Hours
We are open Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, closed for lunch from Noon - 1 pm unless we are at a Chamber event, meeting, or luncheon. There are also occasional early morning meetings; Festivals on a Saturday in September and December; and after hours events/programs/festivals. This is a full-time, salaried position starting at $32,000 for a qualified, experienced individual.

LIST OF NEEDED QUALIFICATIONS (but not limited to):
- General knowledge of Chambers of Commerce and our purpose
- MUST have QuickBooks Online Accounting System experience OR A/R, A/P. Bookkeeping practices
- Knowledgeable or Familiar in Microsoft 365 Suite
- Knowledgeable or Familiar in General Marketing & Social Media marketing; Canva knowledge a huge plus!
- familiar with video and creative media apps/programs (TikTok is applicable and will help you learn our other marketing apps)
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. continuously, on your feet in fast-paced, stressful environments for long periods of time (Festivals & some events)
- Some After Hours Events, Early Morning Meetings, Lunch Hour Events, and Weekends for Festivals are Required with Paid Time Off to regulate work hours
- Fantastic people and communication skills, be able to be in lots of social situations; professional appearance and GREAT attitude a MUST
- Be able to multi-task and be able to operate under deadlines; able to handle stressful situations
- Be able to work independently, be Self-Sufficient / Self-taught occasionally – Open to learning new skills in technology and leadership - Can handle critical thinking and have attention to details.
- MUST have own Transportation and MUST live in Cushing or the close surrounding areas
- Must ENJOY having a job, the want to be a part of everything we offer and the want to get to know others, have drive and ambition, and enjoy talking to the public, in big or little gatherings. Confidence in yourself is KEY to this job.
