Description:
 The Sauk Business Enterprise Board was created by the Sac and Fox Nation to:
• Provide sources of revenues, through its business activities, to the Sac and Fox Nation
• Create quality jobs for tribal members and other people living in the Sac and Fox Nation jurisdiction
• Provide revenues to improve the well-being of Sac and Fox Nation citizens
• Attract diversified business enterprises, including gaming, to the jurisdiction of the Sac and Fox Nation
• Expand the Nation’s land base and the Nation’s economic development potential through the purchase of additional land for the Nation’s use. 

The Sauk Business Enterprise Board serves as a business entity to aid in the economic development of the Sac and Fox Nation and is a subordinate economic enterprise appointed by the Business Committee of the Sac and Fox Nation.

Job Description:
The Sauk Business Enterprise Board (SBEB) is comprised of three (3) Board of Directors who manage the affairs of the Enterprise. The Directors are compensated for their time and expertise to the support purpose of the Sauk Business Enterprise. The SBEB has a current opening for a Board Director. The term of office for each Director is three (3) years. The Board holds regular meetings at least once a month. However, additional meetings may be required. Meetings are normally held at the Sac and Fox Nation complex in Stroud, Oklahoma. 

Qualifications of Directors:
• May be a member or non-member of the Sac and Fox Nation but shall not be a member of the Sac and Fox Nation Business Committee or the Nation’s Grievance Committee, nor shall a Director be a Judicial Officer of the Nation.
• Be at least 21 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
• Each Director shall, prior to taking the oath of office and at all times during their tenure as a Director, be duly licensed by the Sac and Fox Nation Gaming Commission.
• Each Director shall take an oath to abide by the Constitution and laws of the Sac and Fox Nation in exercising the duties of the office. 

Duties of the Board of Directors:
• Oversight and monitoring of businesses and operations of the Enterprise
• Oversight and monitoring of the financial affairs of the Enterprise, including preparation and approval of budgets for the Gaming Operation, any Subsidiaries, and any other business operations of the Enterprise
• Approval and implementation of policies and procedures related to the operations of the Enterprise
• Hiring, supervision, and direction of the officers of the operations of the Enterprises
• Establishment, approval, and implementation of planning and overall strategies for the further development, expansion, and improvement of the operations of the Enterprise, including but not limited to the investigation of ne business opportunities
• Reporting to the Nation and the Business Committee concerning the activities and financial status of the Enterprise
