WE’RE HIRING: PREK–3RD GRADE TEACHER The Hive Learning Lab | Cushing, OK

The Hive is looking for the right person to join our Cushing location!

We are looking for a PreK–3rd Grade Teacher who thrives in an open-classroom, multi-age learning environment and understands that every child learns differently.

This is not a traditional classroom with every student working on the same lesson at the same time. Our students learn at their individual instructional levels, so our teacher must be comfortable teaching across PreK through 3rd grade and adapting instruction to meet a wide range of academic and developmental needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with students with a variety of special needs

Strong behavior intervention and behavior support skills

The ability to teach PreK–3rd grade across multiple academic levels

Experience working in an open classroom or multi-age environment

Ability to manage multiple students working on different activities and skills at the same time

Experience adapting curriculum and instruction to individual student needs

Patience, flexibility, and a calm, confident demeanor

Strong classroom management and organizational skills

The ability to recognize the function behind challenging behaviors and respond appropriately

A team-oriented attitude and willingness to work closely with staff and families

A genuine desire to make learning feel safe, successful, and meaningful

At The Hive, you’ll:

Teach students at their individual instructional levels

Work with students across PreK–3rd grade

Provide hands-on, individualized instruction

Support students with behavioral, sensory, communication, developmental, and learning needs

Manage a dynamic classroom where students may be working on very different skills at the same time

Help students build academic, communication, social, and independence skills

Be part of a school that believes education should fit the child—not the other way around.
